My Funny Valentines !!

Every time the girls get a new outfit for an upcoming holiday I am always eager to take their picture.  SG was still talking about Christmas this and Christmas that so it was time to move on to a new holiday.  Yeah for Valentine's Day !!  During this particular photo shoot, I got a whole lot of great shots of little C but hardly any of SG.  She had just woken up from a nap and while usually eager to have her picture made, this was not her day.  She was very uncooperative (as most almost 3 year olds can be) but I was able to get a few even if her face was goofy !!!

Sweet Girls !!

So, I decided before the chaos of XMAS day arrives that it would be a good idea to get some decent photos of the girls in their XMAS PJ's.  Charlotte was initially not cooperating but after a bottle she fell right to sleep and remained asleep for all of the photos....not the ideal but was still able to get some pretty good ones !!!  On another note, I asked SG what she wanted Santa to bring her for XMAS and she said a rocking horse and a popsicle ... hmmmm ... that popsicle might be a little interesting in the morning !!

Believe in the Magic !!!

I can't believe it's that time of year again...the time of beautiful trees, lights (both the kind on trees and the candles found on menorahs...at least in our house anyway !!), and most importantly making memories with family and friends.  I can't believe that it was almost one year ago that we found out that we would be adding another precious miracle to our family.  I can't believe that I will be 35 this year and I can't believe that in 2011 I will become the Mommy of a 3 year old.

There are many "I can't believe's" but I will tell you one thing I do believe in .... the magic ... not the "pull a rabbit out of your hat" kind of magic, but the "light up your face" kind of magic that happened when SG helped me light the candles on the menorah or the wonder on her face when she pulls her prize out of the advent calendar each evening.  I really really can't wait until we see the magic of Santa at work on Christmas morning !!

Wherever you are or whatever you are doing this holiday season ... I truly wish you magic !!

I have no idea where the last 30 days went but little Charlotte is one month old.  So, to commemorate the day, we went outside and took some pics. Thankfully she was content and wide awake !! Some of my faves are posted below:

A New Addition !!

So really I must be the most delinquent blogger ever.  No matter how much I tell myself that I can keep this thing updated, I fail again and again.  Anyway, I have a fairly decent excuse this time...her name is Charlotte Rene'.  I can't believe this kid will be one month old next week.  Where in the heck does the time go ??

The last three weeks have been quite the whirlwind and there is no rest for the weary when you have a 2.5 year old running around as well.  In the last few weeks, Aaron's Mom has come for a visit, SG started dance and 2 year old preschool, we have continued with gymnastics, and Aaron's sister came to visit as well.  Charlotte has been learning the ins and outs of daytime and nighttime and SG is quickly learning that she is no longer the center of attention much to her dismay. The dogs don't really care about Charlotte ... I think they all were like "Great Another One !!"

While Aaron's Mom was here we went out to the local pumpkin patch and took some pics of the girls together and SG alone.  This is the 3rd Halloween that we have been in Fayetteville and each year we have taken pumpkin patch pics of SG in the same spot.  I can't believe how much she has changed in that time.  She is such a big girl now.  I often wonder what happened to my little bitty baby.  Honestly, I really can't believe that we have not only one but 2 of these little creatures now.  If you had told me that 8 years ago I wouldn't have believed you.  They are both miracles in the truest sense of the word.

Hello Blogspot....It's Been a While !!

Well it's been quite a while since I bothered to make a post on here.  It's been a combo of sheer laziness and a busy summer !!  Only 5 more weeks until we welcome little number two into this world and I'm not sure if we are ready but there is no choice in the matter...she is coming whether we are ready or not.  Sarah-Grace continues to grow and grow before our very eyes. She is holding very "adult" sounding conversations with us and is almost completely potty trained.  I'm not sure where the time has gone but it sure has passed quickly.

In a few weeks SG will be starting up again at the church preschool up the street from us and this year will be attending 2 days a week.  She continues with her gymnastics and I am considering signing her up for a ballet/tap combo class.  Considering her love for tutus and dressing up like a princess, I'm sure she would be a natural but we'll see...you never know what a 2 year old is going to do !!

July was a pretty busy month for us and all I can report about August is that it is hot hot hot every single day.  In July, we had some new family photos taken and my parents came for a nice visit.  When my parents came to town, we all went for a little vacation to DC for the 4th of July weekend.  I am posting some of my favorites from the family photos and our DC trip below:

A Good Subject !!

So I realize it has been almost exactly a month since my last post. Since the days are getting warm and long, Sarah-Grace has that desire to be outside almost every moment she can. We recently bought her a sandbox for the backyard and I took the opportunity to catch her in a few moments of childhood play in the sand and on her swingset. I couldn't think of a more worthy subject to photograph and I am finding that I really like using Aaron's fancy camera and then editing the photos to my liking !! Enjoy !!!
